The Ethics Committee assists the staff and the members of our community in making informed decisions when confronted with Medical-Moral issues. The Ethics Committee guides, educates and assists members of the hospital family, patients and caregivers as they confront difficult and in many cases, painful decisions The committee is considered a resource for information and advice and is the foundation of ethical policy-making at Brookhaven Memorial Hospital Medical Center. The members of the committee can be consulted when families and caregivers feel the need for clarification of ethical issues.
