About our Area
Brookhaven Memorial Hospital Medical Center is located in Patchogue, a town on the south shore of Suffolk County in Long Island. Our area has a lot to offer and we are sure that you will find it is a great place to live and work.

Long Island is located at the threshold of New York City. We are approximately 50 miles from Manhattan by the Long Island Railroad. We are also minutes away from a major airport- McArthur Airport- which is located in the town of Islip.

Here on Long Island, we are very proud of our beaches, as they are some of the best in the world. These include beaches in the Hamptons, on Fire Island, and the famous Robert Moses State Park. Robert Moses State Park offers visitors five miles of ocean beach to enjoy. The park also has a boat basin, fishing piers, picnic areas, and an 18-hole pitch & putt golf course.

One of the many highlights of our area is Patchogue Village. It is a real old-fashioned downtown, complete with a variety of shops and restaurants. In the heart of the village is the Patchogue Theatre. This 1200 seat theatre dates back to the 1920s when it was originally used as a vaudeville house. It was totally renovated back in 2000 and is currently one of the finest performing arts centers on Long Island. We are also located nearby the lovely villages of Bellport and Sayville.
